    The Brown Bullhead is another native Maine fish. (We have over 50 native species). Other names include: Bullhead, Hornpout, Catfish. Its scientific name is Ameiurus nebulosus : In Maine, adult bullheads are usually about 10 inches long and weigh less than one pound. Fish up to 14 inches are occasionally caught, but fish 18 inches and larger are rare here.

What’s Up?

UPDATE! Expect additional delays…. my mom has just been admitted into hospice care (a huge relief). Although she’s not in any discomfort or pain, she is refusing to eat and is now under 100 lbs. and sleeps nearly all the time. Hospice ensures her comfort. She’s 95 yrs. old, so I know she’s ready and just wants to go. I say the prayer for a happy death for her.
