Remembering Dad Pete
Grab a hankie and join your scout friends on Sunday, Nov 28th at 3pm ET in the Quiet Room, to celebrate the many many contributions Timmy and Einie’s dad Pete made to Cat Scouts.
2021 Cat Scout Jamboree
IMPORTANT!!!!!!
Because Einie’s dad Pete passed away this week, we are postponing the Jamboree. It has always been meant as a big celebration, and it’s hard to celebrate when sadness has a vase grip around your gonads. The Denmaster is a teary-eyed mess right now–the year has taken its toll.
Jamboree Activity Packs
Activity packs should be arriving if you signed up to get one. As I see additional scouts bemoaning the fact they didn’t sign up early enough for a pack, I’ll drop another pack in the mail. They’re being shipped priority mail. You’ll be getting beachcombing materials, stuff for a couple of crafts projects and your very own Beach Bingo card. Leave your shipping addy in the Jamboree group if you’re late signing up!
CSWHQ Now Has a Home!
CSWHQ is now conveniently a block from the beach in Washington.
As if a widowhood and an interstate move weren’t enough, the denmaster has breast cancer and will have surgery within the next week or two. For every medical test and procedure, she has to drive 2-1/2 hrs to the airport, fly 2 hrs to California and back again, usually the same day. So yeah, the denmaster has kinda fallen off the face of the earth. But once surgery is over and treatment starts she’ll be back at scouts with a vengeance. 
DAD PETE’S OBITUARY
He was born in Plymouth Meeting, PA on January 31, 1953, the son of the late Owen J and Eva Jean Cusack.
Peter was a lifelong resident of the Plymouth Meeting area. He loved riding motorcycles. He was a generous person and always giving to others. He volunteered with many cat adoption agencies and no-kill centers. He worked as a Registered Nurse in an ER and later for Aetna.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Odean Cusack. He is survived by dear friends and four cats.
Services and interment are private.
Memorial contributions may be made in Peter’s name to: Stray Cat Blues, Tiger Haven, Alley Cat Rescue, Stray Cat Alliance, Montgomery County SPCA, Kitty Cottage and any other no kill cat rescues.

What took me the most time was getting pictures. I want to make an album for each of us for some standard poses. But, what do you think? We were having one of our planning session for Jambrrrrree!

I hope the appointment goes well! And I hope mum/s back feels better really soon.
My Mum said she can sympathize a bit because Dad has restless leg syndrome and sleep apnea, and she’s been the unintended target of a kick and jerked awake by noise. For the most part she sleeps in the guest room/office.

Hello Kitty Lovers 14 hours, 32 minutes agoSeymour finishes loading the dish washer and closes the door. he very carefully feels the keypad and selects the wash and sterilize options the presses START! He smiles as the machine begins wash he can feel the vibration and warmth!

Ok mom is adjusting my food back a little. She think too much gastro dry gets to my tummy so she’s going back to go half my calorie intake of gastro dry and the other half id. Mom says taking care of me is like walking a tightrope.

No, but it’s toasty warm here. The heating system is so efficient mom just keeps the stat at 70 degrees. We’ve already had several nights with temps below freezing, and one would never know it!

That sounds so Cozy Seymour. Dad keeps us at 68 and we are warm but we still like to lounge in front of the fire!

Dad has the heat in the workshop set at 70 and Beauty and Harry have two heated beds, but they usually sleep together in one of them!

I don’t think so, Beauty is long haired, Harry is short haired and Harry is big guy and Beiuty is petite I think Beauty showed Harry where to find food and friends and they are close friends,

Mom got a new hand mixer a Black and Decker with Beaters and a whisk plus dough hooks too! Mom got King Arthur flour and yeast and is gonna try making white bread again!!

Mom used to bake bread often when living in New Hampshire when Justin had a field trip to the King Arthur Flour store in White River Junction! He came home with bread and yeast to make two loaves! And Mom kneaded by hand and let rise on wood stove and she got good at bread kneading! but we’ll it’s been 25 years ago or more!!
