2/6 Once the glaciers retreated, the Earth’s crust started to rebound (rise). The result is that the north side of Lake Superior keeps rising by about one foot (30-50cm) per century compared to lands along the southern edge of the Great Lakes. This process is called “isostatic rebound” by geoscientists.

Mom went to Geneva State Park to walk today. The lake has ice along the shoreline and the water in the Marina is frozen. It was the same way around Christmas, but it melted quickly when the weather warmed up. The temperature was 42 degrees today. Mom and I liked your Words of Wisdom for this week. It made mom laugh. She has problems sleeping sometimes. She definitely sharpens her math skills figuring out how much time she has left to sleep. -

We had not heard about this downsizing,they are doing it in a quiet way. I wonder if the people have found other places to go (with relatives) and they are not taking in any new people. Deepwood is not really just a school it is the Lake County Board of DD. They have many programs. -
