I am so sorry about the loss of your online friend. I did not know Paula, but I can see how much you all loved her. And I can see that her passing will leave an emotional hole in your lives, that her presence will be sorely missed. 😔
💐 I extend my deepest sympathy to all of you in your time of loss 💐
We are all sitting here with leaky eyes. A good friend a long-time blogger, Paula Gregg, was diagnosed with Pancreatic cancer a few weeks ago. She had a bad time with the chemo and chose to stop treatment. She is going into hospice tomorrow but they don’t expect her to make it through the night. Paula was a big part of the Cat Blogosphere and…[Read more]
Mom really doesn’t know Miss Paula well other than she sees her name EVERYWHERE so we know she’s been deeply involved in the cat world. We do know that cancer is very frightening and has no mercy. We certainly will keep her in our hearts and prayers…….
I didn’t know her, neither did Mom, but anyone who get a diagnosis of Pancreatic Cancer usually has very grim, and short future. Mom and DD lost a friend to that a few years ago. He was a taxi driver! Mom became HIS taxi driver! Purrs any Purrayers for her and for all who love her!
I’ve known Paula since 2005-ish, and was lucky enough to meet her for dinner IRL once in SF. She was a pistol! The only blessing is that she didn’t have to suffer thru months of chemo or surgeries, although a wee bit more time would have been nice. I’m still having trouble processing it.
I can’t thank you, my dear furends, and all of our Angel furends!!, for your love, support, Purrayers, and purrs! I don’t think we couldn’t have this far with those gifts from all of you!! I didn’t get enough sleep, but I’ll have some serious naps this morning and afternoon!! For now I off to see what Teddy had made for breakfast.,! Oh, and t…[Read more]
Chip, You were so smart to reach out, and it is wonderful that our big Scout family helped you through this little impasse. Keep up the great work, dear friend! Chessie wants to be loved, and you have so much to give!
I’m so sorry to read about Chessie. I went back and read all your posts, to see what happened. I am glad she is feeling better. Poor little thing. I’m sorry you had that misunderstanding with her, that she couldn’t understand about the other cat.
Please. I need your purrayers for my sisfur,Chessie. Please read about it at I’m Ok. I’m really really worried about her. Im under the covers with my phone. The sight of me makes her rumble. We can’t corner her to put her in the bathroom. I can’t get in there when the door is closed. I’m scared she might not get better. She won’t eat supper. 😿&#…[Read more]
Seymour, thank you, my furend! I know that I, and also Mom, felt the presence of some Angels! We has asked Angel Hermes if he could come and comfort Chessie. In just a few minutes, her banshee growling went to a soft, low rumble, and then stopped. We are certain it was our band of Cat Scout Angels!!
Thomas goes in lights a candle. Kleenex box in hand he sits down and thinks about his brother Charles. It’s been a year since he went away and the whole family misses him. Tears continue as he sits quietly remembering the many things Charles taught him. Some were naughty and that made him smile.
Cooper Murphy thank you for sharing that. Even though Charles is no longer with us we think of your Sister Ms Lisbeth as our sister too. We check your blog to see what she is up to and are thrilled when she appears in a post. Your love purrs hugs and prayers are are very comforting.
*Sits down with Cooper and Thomas*. I love Charles. He and I joined Scouts around the same time and went through our scout milestones at the same time. He was one of my bestest buds. I really miss him.
Dear Thomas, I thought I had posted last night, but it’s not here. I have met Charles here at the Bridge, and he is a pawsome friend and Angel. I had heard about him from my predecessors, so it’s really nice to just share his company and hear so many old stories!
Oh Seymour Thank you for reporting on Charles. I’m happy you two have met and are enjoying each other’s company. I feel his presence in our house especially at night. Please Charles we miss him so much.
Mom Pat here: Thank you all so much for your loving words and thoughts. Although the house is very empty right now, Seymour’s spirit and personality are all over the place. He really filled up a room and I am thinking about the many funny and incredibly clever things he did. He constantly surprised me with how he figured things out and got…[Read more]
MomPat, the memorial is so nice! Such a kind Nd loving thing to do. I just know Seymour is deeply touched by it. He knew how fortunate he was that your paths had come together! He loves and appreciates your so very much!🧡🐾🐈
I’ve been thinking about Seymour. He was not an ordinary cat, was he? I ….. please don’t laugh at me or think I’m crazy, I’m sErious. I believe, with all my heart that Seymour was already and Angel, of a special kind. I mean, how did he manage to survive with his many challenges?! And…he just happened to be in such a place that that police man…[Read more]
Chip that was so beautifully said. Thank you.
I believe you saw right through Seymour. He definitely was an Angel here on earth helping many of get through life’s issues with his kind words and gentle ways.
Chip, I am honored, and mom and I will cherish your beautiful words forever. She told me she printed out a copy and has shared with some of my non-Scout friends. Thank you so much for your sweet and very huge heart.
I’m sure glad I ordered more tissues. Nooooo!! Not my good Buddy Seymour!! I really love that little guy! What an amazing scout he so quickly became! With his many differences, far from handicaps, he jumped right in as a new scout! It is nice to hear Maggie say he will still be actively invOlved. But still my heart 💔 for MomPat!! She is every b…[Read more]
With tears in his eyes Thomas sits with his friends after lighting a candle in honor of Seymour. Dabbing at his tears. Thomas remembers how kind and gentle Seymour was. Always a helpful word or hand for anyone in need .
He will be missed
Dear Angel and Earthly Scout friends, It is with very heavy heart that we have to announce one more Angel has joined us. Seymour went to heaven yesterday, just about the time you were all paying tribute to our dear friend Sammy.
Mom did not want to post last night in order not to take away from Sammy’s memory and honor. But she doesn’t want to…[Read more]
I just saw this and we are devastated. I was really worried when I read that he wasn’t eating, I know all too well what that often means that is why I was encouraging him to eat. Mom and I both have leaky eyes. This is a such a sad day. Seymour my friend I love you fly free my friend.
I wasn’t ill, Mango. The reason I was off my feed was I had suffered a severe blood clot that took a day or so to do its damage. I lost the use of my hindquarters, so was half-paralyzed. Believe me, I am well now!
I will be here to honor and celebrate dear Sammy P’s life and legacy. He was a great friend to us and to so many of our Scouts! We are enjoying his company here at the Bridge, and he is pain-free and happy here, with much to do!
I will be attending the Memorial Service for my very special friend Sammy P. We are re-united here at the Bridge, and we are filled with peace and joy. He gave us Angels and you earthlings so much happiness and warmth. That spirit will stay here at Scouts always.
So sad that sweet Sammy P. had to go to the bridge. So many leaving my heart is heavy. I will light a special candle for you Sammy and spend time this morning here in the quiet room remembering you. Run free . . . Until we meet again friend.
Working with the server farm to determine why the server keeps going down, but so far the cause has not been determined (most likely malware, but scans haven’t shown any). Thank you for your patience and understanding.
