Who is the author of the book, so I can get it posted on the sidebar?

There is the Cat in the Stacks book, I I think that was the series we found didn’t have the cats involved in the mystery? Those were the ones that they were the guys pets but didn’t figure into the mystery itself? Is that the series I’m thinking of?

Aetheling , Hoopla has Beyond the Gravy. I already borrowed a copy so I hope that they have more than one copy. Let me know if you are unable to borrow a copy. I will hurry up and read it.
-
I mean listen to it.
-
OK, they probably have more than one. For some weird reason, I cannot access hoopla on mom‘s phone, so I have to wait until she goes downstairs and gets daddy‘s phone. She can listen to audiobooks on her phone but not hoopla. I have no idea why.
-
I wonder if she could delete the app and download it again?
-
For some reason on this phone, unlike her former phone, she has trouble uploading apps. So she just uses daddy’s phone for apps since the apps work on his. 🤷♀️

Do we want to choose a book for May, so we know what to get?
-
The next book in the Cat who series is the Cat Who Lived High
-
I don’t know if others want to keep alternating between these two series or read other books?
-
I like to alternate, but after Beyond the Gravy we could read The Cat Who Lived High for me, and after that there’s still the new bookmobile book, The Crime That Binds
-
for May, not for me
Mol -
That sounds good to me. I enjoy all of the book.
-
The bookmobile series is my favorite

I was holding my breath when Qwill was in the tunnel with Koko.

There was something suggested at the last meeting.
-
It was Beyond the Gravy by Mandy Morton
-
Oh wait, maybe I have to look for it on hoopla instead of to the library catalog itself? I don’t remember if that’s how I got her book the last time.
-
Hoopla has it.
-
Oh good! Thanks for telling me!
-
-
-
-
I just scrolled down and it’s Beyond the Gravy by Mandy Morton.
-
Yes, beyond the gravy by Mandy Morton.
We don’t have it in our library though, but I can come to the meeting and listen to the discussion 😃

I disliked Vince from the start. I also felt really bad for the gal with the goats.

Qwill figured out that Verona stole the recipes because of the meatloaf that she made for him. It was good that Qwill knew it but did not confront her about it. Verona was embarrased that she had taken them.

The author drops such amusing cat things into her books. Qwill found “Koko sitting on the registrar’s table with other uncataloged items”. 😁

Baby was very smart. Verona had her hands full with Baby and Vince.
-
She sure did! that little toddler got around.
-
I know she escaped from her house a few times but the one time her mother let her walk down to Qwill’s house.
-
-
She sure was. In her own way she helped solve the mystery
-
Yes she did.
-
Bunty, that’s true, I hadn’t thought of that. Even though it almost cost her her life.

The line of men who were seen walking every May 13: At the end of the book, Qwill was pretty sure they were the members of the noble sons of the news continuing their “fraternal shenanigans”. So the author wrapped up those incidents.

Anyone figure out who was the killer?

Koko was dropping hints like crazy with tunneling under the rug and going after that pillow.
-
Koko is so good at pointing out things to Qwill. And Qwill has learned to pay attention to what Koko tries to tell him.
-
Yes he was. He also knocked down the book One Flew Over the Cookoo’s Nest. Mom was trying to figure out that clue. She saw the movie and all she remembers is that Jack Nicholson was in it and that he was good in the movie.
-
Mom had to read it in college and she also saw the movie back in the olden days. But she doesn’t really remember anything about it except Jack Nicholson and nurse Ratchet and the mental hospital.

Iwas wondering about that rolltop desk from the other book and it did make its reappearance in this book. Remember in one of the past books we wondered about all those drawers in the old rolltop desk? That we expected something to be found in them? Obviously the author was foreshadowing this. But Qwill kept the info to himself.
So does that mean…[Read more] - Load More
